View from the street of the back of my house with cattio visible.

Ufizzi Bookstore; ALL ART BOOKS!

Melina standing in front of Botticelli's VENUS in the Ufizzi Gallery, in Florence.

Even the cars are cute:))

Wide angle shot of one of many outdoor markets that are held in this piazza across the street from the basilica.

Outdoor Sunday antique market. Treasures!

I no longer eat my favorite candy: nougat with almonds!

Mime fun at the Monday outdoor market.

Jenny's daughter, Chiara, my goddaughter, visiting me. My electric chair—my chariot—in the background.

"Not Fair!!!" (says a jealous friend in the States.....)
Fresh handmade ravioli with ricotta and spinach, from PASTA FRESCA, a tiny store specializing in homemade pasta, owned by two sisters, about a four-minute "spin" in my chariot, from my front door!!!! (By the way: 2 euro!)

Santa Maria Basilica dome in distance on my way home from a medical appointment.

My view of the historic hilltop city of Assisi on my way home from the supermarket.

July, 2022: First night out in Santa Maria Degli Angeli, Assisi, meeting new friends. My electric chair—my sturdy car—which is my mode of transportation.

2015, visiting my good friend, Simone de Vries in Amsterdam: Van Gogh Museum, before I needed electric chair to get around.

Next door neighbors, Franco and his wife, gifted me the flowers.

My fave bread, integrale...Only 2 euro!

Occsasionally, I take myself out to dinner.

Street view of the back of my house, yard, and Nusch's cat patio outside my bedroom window, which I had built for him before I moved. He's thirteen years old and has been an indoor kitty.

My fuzzball enjoying the October sun in his cattio, more appropriately, his piazza.

Santa Maria Basilica

Basilica di San Francesco in Assisi

2017: Sitting on tram on visit with my sister to see Simone in Amsterdam.

2017: Rikjsmusum Museum in Amsterdam with my sister.

When in Amsterdam...the only thing to do was go inside.

Decaf cappuccino with a fresh baked pistachio croissant---creamy pistachio paste inside.

Becoming a destination---Matt, a friend from college days (40 years ago...yikes) and I reunite in Santa Maria!

Cheese shop---need I say more.

Street was blocked off for a 10k run on this chilly but sunny November Sunday afternoon. That didn't stop this man from stepping out and chatting with a race attendant.

Every Saturday morning at 11am, I tutor ten-year-old Alexander and his friend, Staci, in English for an hour at a small pasticceria (bakery) in exchange for a cappuccino, pastry and lunch from his parents who own the place. They moved from their homeland, Albania, to Santa Maria fifteen years ago. It's so fun!

Lunch! Albanian specialty---filo dough filled with either a savory meat/onion or spinach/cheese filling. Buonissimo!

Beautiful Redina from Albania who cleaned my house last year for about 6 months until she, her husband and two young boys had to return to Albania for lack of work. I gifted her a sorely needed new phone for Christmas.

December 1st: Jenny and I got the wood burning stove in my kitchen going for the first time! After living here a year and a half already and not firing it up at all, I'm finally ready...It's getting cold after a fairly mild fall. Gettin' cozy.
